(WG) Money Wigram & Sons
SAIL AUXILIARIES -- Service to Australia via Cape of Good Hope by
auxiliaries from 1864, and after 1869 return via Suez. Because of the
competition from the Orient Line and P & O,
the Wigram service with sail
auxiliaries came to an end in 1880. The firm survived until 1889 through
charters and carriage of cargo until 1889 when it was wound up.
